Hello

My name is Emma-Jane Corbett, I'm the owner of Sunbeams and the artist behind it all!

Green Ivy on Stone Wall

My Story

As a 21-year-old artist and metal-smith, my work is a testament to the transformative power of creation in the face of adversity. A native of rural Pennsylvania, I am a self-taught multi-disciplinary   artist who has been creating since childhood. While I am adept to various crafts, from fiber arts to painting, my core passion lies in jewelry.

My Artistic journey was profoundly shaped by a health crisis at age 16, when a complication of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder, led to the temporary loss of function in my arms. This experience underscored the vital role of art in my life. After life-saving surgery at age 20, I was able to resume my creative studies in Metal working.

I initially found success with fiber arts, which provided means for medical recovery. With  my health restored, I have returned to my true calling: Creating intricate jewelry. My current focus is on copper and natural stones, with some of my pendants requiring up to 50 hours of meticulous work. My art is not merely a product; it is a symbol of my journey - a blend of resilience, passion, and a profound appreciation for healing and Cannabis along the way.

Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way, I was once a child with a dying dream. I am now a thriving adult on the road to success. I truly hope I can not only share my work with the world, the the testament of how Cannabis kept me alive through those unnerving years of my life.

To the surgeon who saved me, I owe my life to you April Armstrong. If you ever stumble across this, you didn't just fix my chest, you restored my hope for humanity. You are loved, very loved.

And to my Mom, Thank you for always believing in me. I'm a strong women because I was raised by a strong women, with love to the Moon and Back.

Sincerely, Emma-Jane Corbett
